Tucson, Arizona – April 4, 2008 – Universal Avionics Systems Corporation is pleased to announce that a Part 25 Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) has been issued for the Universal MFD-640 Multi-Function Display. Chicago Jet Group, in conjunction with Delta Engineering of New Castle, DE, was issued the STC for installation of the MFD-640 on Dassault Falcon 50 aircraft. The Universal MFD-640 replaces the Primus 400 weather radar indicator and provides large format display of the existing third party FMS and Class A TAWS. Universal Avionics currently holds a Part 23 STC for the MFD-640.
Mike Mitera, Chicago Jet Group President, commented, “Delta Engineering and Chicago Jet Group worked together to complete this STC in less than five weeks, from original concept to completion. The Falcon 50 is now a safer aircraft because weather radar and Class A TAWS are clearly presented on the Universal MFD-640.” Chicago Jet Group will provide installation services of the Part 25 STC on other similarly equipped Falcon 50 aircraft.
